I cringed when I heard and saw that snap. I was surprised it broke so easily at first. But your were completely turned. Gripping the rock and hung up all at the same time.

Your spotter wasn't very helpful.

At lease you got it on video.

Ouch!!! that popping sound hurts. Did you go wheeling by yourself with no other vehicle to pull you out of that situation? Looking at that video, your right rear quarter panel is just about to hit that big rock.

BTW, I like the sound of your engine, it sounds like a big V8 on my sub.

Hey at least you did not flip.

No I did not go wheeling by myself, not that brave. As you saw on the video there were lots of other people there, about 6 trucks total and two Jeeper that can't spot for anything.

I got my self out with my winch. Just needed a very slight tug.

The wonderful rear bumper made for me by OZ Fabrications prevented damage from that big rock.

Wow! that winch rules! The area you were wheeling, is that in GWNF?

Yep GWNF just upstream from Aintree...

I wish we had a video of the hill climb we did. I think that sold a few front lockers...

Just watched the vid - OUCH!!

Alot of spotters - looked like a union road crew. Whole lot of watching, not much else. How did you get pulled off that obstacle?

A very slight tug with my winch did the trick. I then drove home over 300 miles with a busted CV and I had to keep it in 4x4 to keep it from chewing its self apart.

You can't let rocks get caught within the frame or cross members. It's all over then. I think you would have been better off with NO spoter than taking the line you did.

Where is that place in relation to where I wheeled Ace's Mini with no lockers & stock gears?

East, West, South, Northwest, Northeast, Baja, it all comes down to your spotter. If they suck you suck.

Steve Hunt actually spots and his wife drives. This is quite clever since the spotter really is calling the shots.

"That sounded good. Try it again."

Not exactly the advice I would have given you.
