Do I really need Amsoil Engine Flush??
I've been using Mobil-1 for the past 30,000 miles and am now making the switch to Amsoil motor oil. I'm wondering if the motor is clean enough since I've been using Mobil-1, or if I should just go ahead and use the Amsoil engine flush anyway.
Thanks in advance!

I didn't use the flush when I went from Dino to Amsoil. I just made sure my first oil change came at 3K and not the current 15K intervals I go by. I haven't had any problems...

If you do a search on Amsoil, you'll see a lot of people who are very pro-Amsoil. Gadget has some pretty good oil results on his website if you check it out. Amsoil actually says that it's good up to a year or 25K (whatever comes first) but my truck is my daily driver and it sees a lot of stop and go so I'm playing it safe with a change every 15K and a filter change every 5K to 7.5K

Where is the best place to order Amsoil? I haven't seen it around at any stores...
Do you guys use the regular 5W-30 synthetic, or the 5W-30 XL-7500?
$69.00 off the website for 12 quarts... GEEZZZ. Thats some expensive stuff!!

SC,
there are several dealers on yotatehc, including myself
yes, the initial cost of purchase is high but over one year, you are saving money. for example, take whatever you purchase (regular dyno) for your current oil changes and figure out how many times you change it per year. most people seem to change around 2-3 times a year.
amsoil + 2 filters is almost always going to be cheaper over a year's time. not to mention, less time on your part b/c you just have to change the oil filter one more time (after the first change).
