hey now, that wasn't funny. Laughing so hard I need my diapers changed, come on dude, take it easy. I didn't know you were so sensitive. my bad. Sorry I hurt your feelings man. By the way, that's not the kind of things you should say about people you don't know at all since you are a newbie. Stick around awhile and you will see that most of us help more then offend eachother here. I am not hurt by your words above, I just figured you needed to get even or something

I've seen some forums do what your requesting. It just created a bunch of empty topic areas, because the majority still hung out in the general area. That and it kept the Mods busy for a while until they said to hell with it. They were always moving to 1st gen section, moving to 3rd gen section, yada yada yada. I agree with the general consensus...just search. I enjoy reading topics of other generations. Oh and welcome to the board. Since I've been here there's been teasing, but I've never seen any real flaming. Well there was the time when a 4x4 wired member left and came over here, and a wave of bickering followed. But the mods are great about putting those kind of fires out. Even so it made for some good reading.

The best way to surf the forums here is with that purple button on top of each page called "new posts."
It will list every new post since your last visit, and this way you can see all posts, and not have to go into each forum by itself to see what's been posted.

As mentioned earlier, putting up different categories for years gets to confusing, and I have seen other forums do this and fail to get posts in them.
I have also seen other forums have a category for:
wax
tires
stereo mods
suspension
ect...

They end up being empty, and to many categories for members to choose from.
The current formula we have here seems to work very well for now.

If you think it's bad for you, think about us poor pickup guys. If I have to read one more thread with some crap about a four runner..... Anyway, for those of us that drive old junk, and old pickup junk at that, we feel for anyone else that has to sift through all the great ideas posted here to find something applicable to their own rig, but most of the time I find it very rewarding.

Anyway, mterrizzini...
...
don't take it personal. On one of my recent post a member refered to my ride as 'junk' (jx94148) which I silently took offense to, briefly. Took me a couple more posts to realize...he calls 'em ALL junk

Stick around, lots to learn here. Most these guys know stuff that spans the generations. read the ones you like, pass on ones you don't. However, even if the subject doesn't relate to your particular like or dislike, there MAY be replies in that thread that DO pertain to your interest and in no time you'll be changing your sig on a regular basis, from 'no mods yet' to Aisins, Locker, Subs, SAWS, SAS, etc...
It's ALL good...
just so I don't offend anyone in the future, I refer to my rig and everyone else's rig as "junk."

EX:
Those wheels look good on your junk.
My junk is running well.
