Couldn't stay away.... $360 4Runner
I've owned a few yotas over the years but liquidated the fleet over the winter after I bought a 3/4 ton Duramax which seemed to cover all my bases...
Well the empty spot in my heart was just begging for another yota and my fiance was in serious need of a good 4x4 to make her commute over the App Gap (mountain pass often covered heavy snowfall) so for an early christmas present I bought her this 98 4Runner. At $360 I couldn't say no...well they were asking $600 but with a few of the quirks I came in at $360 and they accepted.
Its got 194k mi, needs axle seals, some rear suspension work, the radio doesn't work nor does the rear door. The fenders are tender it has overheated once... Hopefully its not a head gasket issue. That said it shifts great, the 3.4 runs excellent and the interior is pretty clean. The four wheel drive works geat and it drives very nice. I think with some elbow grease it will make a great winter commuter.
She has been around my tacoma's and pickups for years and has always had a thing for 3rd gen Runners and was absolutely floored to see this rig at our house when she came home today.
Suggestions? Knowledge? Advice?

It does have a title, albeit a rebuilt one. I think it was rolled many years ago. All fixed but you can see stress cracks in bondo near the roof.
Nuthuts: Cool, will do. If you or any other local members want to sell some parts or studded snow tires let me know.
