Corey,

I know you are the man for this kinda of thing.

I have something on one of my black fender flares that just turns white in days even after I use trim dressing.

I am guessing it is wax...

...any thoughts on removing ???

Morning Dave.
I use this stuff called Paint Prep by Griot's Garage.
Their website is not working for me right now.
Could be on my end.

If you can get there later, plug in "Paint Prep" into their search engine at www.griots.com

This stuff is used to strip wax off of vehicles prior to painting, and prior to using their waxes on your rig.

Lots of waxes contain silicones, and Griot's natural waxes don't like them.
This stuff does work. It strips wax off very well.
See my blunder.

That will surely take off any old wax. But I think it was Bob on the forum here who found something else much cheaper will also take wax off the SR5 black textured flares.

Peanut butter
I'm pretty sure it was him who tried that, and it worked to get the wax off his flares.

Dave,

Peanut butter and an old toothbrush. And no, I'm not kidding either!

I use Mothers Back to Black, works graet on bumpers (any colour) and especially on 1st Gen tops.

Some swear by B to B while others say it doesn't work at all, so I think it must work on some waxes but not others.
