I've heard of people using ozone machines to get rid of smells. In car audio fabricating, after fabricating something out of fiberglass (which usually reeks for weeks), installers will put a ozone machine in the vehicle, plug it in, and leave it overnight. Apparently the ozone completely deodorizes the car, and the car doesn't smell like anything the next day.
