Chevy V8 Engine swap

Chevy V8 Engine swap
Does anyone know if there is a kit or something that I could buy, like all of the fabricated parts for installation. I want to swap the 3.0 from a blown 4Runner with a Chevy 5.7. I can weld I am a [censored] fabricater. Also... what is the 6-speed tranny in the t/a's and cameros? I am going manual on this one.

Advanced Adaptors make the motor mounts, radiator, headers and everything else you need. The tranny is a T-56 six speed. It will take a lot of modding to get that tranny to fit in I bet. The T-56 swap is common in S-10s. I swaped one in to my S-10 Blazer and it was a BIG job.

What would be the most simple manual tranny to fit in? Like I said I'm not to good at this but want to get better, I just don't want to get over my head then give up... waist of money, rig, time, ect.
Thanks!

Simplest? Keep the trans you have.
Otherwise look to see what adapters they have. If it ain't listed, it won't be simple.

What year/generation 4Runner are you talking about? Because you are swapping out a 3.0, I'm assuming you have IFS (if it's 4WD). Is it 4WD though? If so, swapping a T56 would require finding a suitable GM transfer case and adapter since there aren't any for Toyota t-cases. The best manual tranny out there for the swap would be an NP4500 from a 1-ton Chevrolet truck: Granny low, overdrive and available adapters to Toyota transfer cases. Also, there isn't an all-inclusive "kit" avaiable out there, just a conglomeration of individual parts. This is because there are so many different variables in engine swaps and abilities. If you're a good welder, it is far easier & cheaper to fabricate your own motor mounts than to spend $120+ for off-the-shelf ones. Same applies to other custom items like crossmembers.
