should work (94 pics)
This is my pride and joy. Recently I changed the color of the interior from grey to black. I used fabric paint to color the carpets and the doors, leaving the trim grey. I also painted the center console from grey to black with a silver in-lay. My tails were all clear but after getting advice from another post I painted them red and then I put wheel well chrome trim on them and whalla...custom tails.
I also added carbon fiber dash and indiglo gauges and made some custom mats w/daimond plated metal. The pictures are pretty small but as I learn more I will post new ones. Any feedback, goo or bad, will be appreciated. Thanks for looking.

Momo, still not working. You gave us the URL to your account.
Montypics doesn't work like a Webshot's album where you can view multiple pictures at once.
You have to paste the URL in for each picture using the image command.

Hey man I would really like to do that to my Runner as well. I have some kind of weird greyish blue color interior now, I would like to add some black to the scheme. What kind of paint did you use on the doors and what not? Also where did you get the metal accents for your console and that awsome metal you used on your mats?

Pep Boys, Pep Boys, Pep Boys.
Look in the paint section and buy fabric paint. I don't remember the brand name but I think they only carry one kind. I chose the eboy color. I had the same blueish grey interior. The only drawback is that you will have to touch up the carpets and high traffic (no pun) areas every so often. The aliminum look for the dash is achieved pretty much the same way. Buy a primer, high heat aluminum color paint (engine paint), and a clear coat. Most of the console comes apart so you can paint the pieces individually. Take your time with it and spray sparingly.
The metal plates are in the high performance car aisle with the cone intakes, blue lights...all the "ricey' stuff. They come with the hardware to attach them to your mats.
Paint: $4.99 or so a can
Metal plates: $9.99 each
It took me one day to do everything because I basically had to take everything out and tape a lot of things off. But it was worth it, I feel my truck has a brand new look for well under $100.

That does look very cool. I really like the diamond plated mats. They are really sweet. Almost reminds me of the fire truck.... Goodlooking interior and exterior. You should be very proud of your work. Nice job! :fireman:

Hey! Great looking setup! Where did you get those tail lamps from? What kind of paint do you use to paint them? I'm thinking about doing something similar.
Thanks, have fun.
