Changinng Transmission Fluid in V6 3.4L
My 02 4Runner 2WD got 36K Miles. Should I flush Transmission fluid and replace with synthetic or regular fluid. Which kind will be benefit to the life of the tranny, the truck droven mostly in the city , short trip 5-7 miles, is the 02 4Runner fluid type have any different grade than the popular Type in the market.
Also should I get the Radiator flush done ?
Thanks for any advices.

Switching to syntethic is cheap insurance. There are several choices all of which have a VERT pasionate following, so it depends on who's propagada you want to believe. Personally, I like the Amsoil fluids which have served me well http://www.amsoil.com/StoreFront/atf.aspx.
DIY ATF flush http://www.amsoil.com/faqs/ATF_and_F...Procedures.pdf
If you choose to go with Amsoil, become a prefered customer which gives you dealer cost on their products http://www.amsoil.com/preferredorder.aspx
Check your owners manual to verify the requirements, but for my 2001 it's Dexron and I also use it in my wife's Highlander that calls for T-IV.
