I just baught a CB and a Firestik, and I had a question. Is CB coax different than TV coax? Can I use the 18' TV coax I have sitting in my garage? That would be cool.
I actually have another question: If you have a 3rd gen pickup or 2nd gen Runner, can you post pics of your CB mounted? If you own the former, could you also post pics of your antenna?

Well, at least I don't have to dig through crap to find out if the TV coax will work. But I have to spend more money.

Yes, they are different cables. CB is RG58 (50 ohm impedence) and TV is RG59 (75 ohm). Do not use RG59 for CB.
What makes you think you need 18ft? This link describes the appropriate cable length. In reality, for properly tuned single antenna applications, ANY length will work. The only reason you would need something specific would be to null shield current, which does not exist when the antenna is properly iinstalled.

You are suppose to only run an 18' length of cable for the CB range.
Firestick has the info in their FAQ file.
