does some1 sell a test tube I so can keep my cat from being stolen? or at least have it ready when my cat gets stolen, so the truck will not be so loud?

it replaces the cat so u can either keep ur cat safe & off the truck or wait til ur cat is stolen then put tube in, so it won't be so loud (provides the connection for the exhaust to go thru the muffler). u will get pulled over if ur car sounds like a top fuel dragster, which it will with the cat gone & nothing to connect headers to exhaust.

Man that sucks...i know a few members from ttora that replaced their forward cat with a magnaflow and added a o2 simulator from urd which keeps the check engine light off.

I?ve heard they are mostly stolen by tweekers who sell them at recycle yards for about $10-$20.
I think the pre Tacoma is one of their favorite targets.
I just slid under my taco and put a couple tack welds on each flange. Not 100% theft-proof, but now it?s not just 4 bolts and gone.

This happened to my father-in-law's Tercel. Went to warm up his car one morning and wondered why it sounded so LOUD! Peek underneath and saw no more cat! We had a news here one time about cat. thieves bust. A would-be-buyer tipped the police...

Yep, the tweakers sometimes steal the strangest stuff. They steal wiring out of houses, alternators, hot water heaters, and catalytic converters. I'm not too surprised about that. They'll just sell it to get more meth. It's a shame they had to steal yours.

Mine got stolen before the 4runner was mine! I needed my wife to test drive it before I could buy it, so I took her to the lot, and she started it up - it sounded like a lawnmower on steroids. So she hops out and shuts the door while we diagnose the problem, and of course the doors are locked when she goes to turn it off. Needless to say, it wasn't a great first impression. Turns out some idiots just unbolted the cat and took off. It got replaced and we bought the rig that day. How's that for a warm & fuzzy story?
