California or non-Cali 4Runner?

I have pretty much decided to replace my oxygen sensor in order to clear the Check Engine Light on my '94 Runner, but while doing some research, I see that there are different sensors for California and non-California 4Runners. I know mine was driven in Cali at least some (no details, though), but I'm not sure...

Any suggestions on getting the correct part/how to replace? I'm also looking for a good distributor...

ok so I'm far from any kind of professional on this but I am going through the same thing, From what I've read if your truck is Cali it has a before and after Cat sensor. If just Fed it has just has one before the Cat. Now installation, from what I've read and heard, is simple. hose the two bolts down with penatrating oil and let it sit a while (overnight) before starting. (japanese bolts are VERY soft). Disconnect old one, take out bolts, put in new one, put bolts back, reconnect. The Haynes Manual suggests taking it to a dealer to verify correct read backs from the sensor. Here's a link to an aftermarket part

Go to This Link and serch for sensor. It'll give you some info. Call the dealer for Toyota parts
