Busted fender flare

Busted fender flare
Well I was driving along the highway the other night and this car in front of me swerves out of my lane all of a sudden. As soon as he does I notice the remains of a separated tire lying in the middle of my lane. I look to try and get over but to no avail since there is a car beside mine. I run over the tire scrap with a pretty good size jolt and keep going. The next day I'm walking up to my car and notice that my rear drivers side flare is busted right behind the rear wheel. Apparently the tire flew up and busted it. Just think, I've had these flares on for less then a month and now I have to buy a whole new rear set since I can't find a single anywhere and I have to get it painted to match. Sorry guys, just needed to vent.

I hate those recap tires! I've run over 3 or 4 of them in only my 4 years of driving. 2 of those times, it was the whole tire. They ought to out law those things. Good for me though, they haven’t done any damage.
If your fender flares are only a month old, could you send it back for a replacement? Or, you maybe you could use some sort of automotive caulk and fill the crack in. I dunno.
Well, have fun.
