I had a similar problem in my '85 Supra. What I guessed is that the bulbs were overheating, so I bent the tabs/springs that hold the bulbs in so they put more pressure on the bulb, puttung more pressure on the metal to metal bond, and it worked great. After that, bulbs lasted a few years. For overkill, I suppose you could get a small tube of thermal transfer compound (White silicon stuff) from Radio Shack, and this would transfer the heat away even better. If you have 55W H3 bulbs stock, and installed 100W H3 bulbs, I think the problem would even be worse, because that housing wasn't designed to "sink" away 100W's worth of bulb heat.
