Bumper Choosing

Well, I'm ordering a bumper very soon. But I'm stuck between 2 ARB models.

The ARB Sahara Bar: $1k+

-OR-

The hopefully less expensive, but still has the cool integrated fogs- ARB Deluxe Winch Bull Bar:

Any comments?!

Also, anybody know about the gap w/ a 2" BL? Will RB's brackets work on the ARB?

Just so you know on the sahara, that chrome bar? its pretty wimpy... the damn thing is just bolted on just like any grille guard... yes it has pretty lights, but I would go for the beefy bull bar...

IMHO the sahara bar is a mall crawler bumper.

Dont flame me that's just my opinion... I almost got it till i looked at one close up.

The bottom one if you are getting a winch.

The bottom one if you are not getting a winch as well.

They're built just right.

I like the bottom version as well. But, do you know if it is available for a 4Runner? Be prepared for it to be slightly different.

I like the bottom one and could kick myself for not getting one instead of the brush guard I now have. I may get one yet.

The RB brackets wont work at all for the ARB. The sahara bumper is very hard to come by. I say get the bottom one or the TJM

I like the sahara bar better but they are pricey!!! TJM make some good one too!!! You might wanna consider TJM 15.

i like the bull bar better just because it looks a bit more rugged and useful. but i agree with whoever "ranma21" is that you might wanna consider the TJMs as well.

I like the lower one. The ARB I installed once had no way to raise it for a body lift. So take that gap in the picture and add 2 inches for your BL. That will be a big gap.

I agree with whoever "4Route" is said As far as I know, my god father wheel very hard in South East Asia, and most of them vote for ARB. They said ARB is more rugged and solid than TJM. I just like the look of TJM better than ARB.

I just went the TJM route
From their site. If you really like the Sahara, check out the guy that is parting out Fear's Truck. He has one with damage, but the replacement parts is less than $200 and his price is less than $500. I personally like the look of the TJM the best, the ARB Bull Bar is a close second, with the Sahara 3rd.

Hmm.. I'll look into that for sure...

I'm still up in the air. If the second one is available and cheaper, I'm all for it! Mike seems to think that the second isn't available in the US. So we'll see on that.

Well.. I dont like the TJM (edit: as much), so thats out.. it also isn't air-bag safe ( a BIG MINUS )

If fear's old Sahara is somewhat salvageable I'll likely go that route. But I would prefer something shiny and new

CRAP! That bumper IS NOT available. GRRR!!!

Looks like I'll be saving my pennies and getting the Sahara?
I dunno..I just want something different, not the run of the mill black 4runner with tech ones and a bull bar. (no flames, please).

Ugh..I'm confused again.

Now that I'm pretty sure I'm talking to myself. I'm proud to say I just ordered the Sahara Bar from Mike!

I can't wait, but I'm sure it'll be over a month.

I'll post back for sure!
