Broken Rear lug nut stud. Difficult repair?

You can get it to catch without any of the splines engaged? I've tried the stack of washers and just throwing an old wheel on there methods and the lug always spins on me.

In all the years I have never pressed a stud in the axle.

I have also changed quite a few studs broke by idiots .

I cut the stud flush off with a cut off wheel, center punch the stud I have a special made tool for the air hammer pops the broke stud out .

to install i use a lug nut of the correct thread pitch put on with the flat side toward the axle 1/2" impact draw it right in .

No drama no bearings no big $$$$$$ repair bills

This is like changing front brake pads by removing the whole caliper taking it to a press to push the piston in and remove the pads .

i have seen this done just shake my head and walk away

We are off topic but you don't need to remove the caliper off and put it into a press to retract the piston. While on the vehicle use the old brake pad and a c clamp to push it back in. If you have both off then you may have to clamp the other side to keep it from pushing further out.
