Brakes Squeeking---HELP!
I just put new OEM brakes in my '98 Tacoma and they are squeeking when driving and when braking--driving me NUTS!!!
I have not had my rotors turned....ever.
Do you think the squeeking is a result of the rotors?
Any other ideas?
I am planning on taking the rotors in on Wednesday, but am open to any other suggestions.
Thanks!

I just changed my brakes over the weekend and I did not have my rotors turned.......no noise at all from mine. Couple of things. Did you add any anti sqeek stuff to your shims? Did you brake in your brakes like they recommend. You know gradual stoppoing and starting?

Yep, I added the anti-squeek stuff as suggested and bleed the brake lines after replacing them. They have been in for over a week now so I would think they would be broken in by now...
