Did you adjust the rear shoes so that when you have the rear jacked up the tires roll with just a slight bit of resistance they should not make a full rotation when you gently spin them one at a time

I was about to make that suggestion too. Make sure the back brakes are adjusted. If they are very loose, you will have quite a bit of pedal travel before you get anything to grab.

Thanks for all the help phellas, I really appriciate all the advice...I do believe the rear shoes need adjusted..Thats next on my list, I should of adjusted them the other day when I replaced thee wheel cylinders, but of course I was in such a hurry to put everything back together to see if it was fixed!!

Now I have the EXACT same problem. I noticed all the symptoms above in my Trekker but have a noticable leak coming from the Right Rear drum and thinking it has to be a wheel cylinder.
Gonna have to tackle it today for sure, let you know how it turns out.
