Bought a 2000 LTD tonight...I have 1 question though
I just picked up my wifes 2000 4Runner LTD tonight and she is as happy as can be. The guy I bought it from couldn't find the owner's manual, but he is going to send it when he finds it. Could someone please tell me how to change the inside and outside temp so it is not Celcius? It confused my wife at first when it said the inside temp was 21.5° and outside it was 10°. I looked all over google and I couldn't find anything.
Thanks in advance and I am looking forward to spending some time on this site.

Is this a US spec 4Runner? My manual says "The vehicles sold in the U.S.A., the temperature is indicated in degrees Fehrenheit, while the vehicles sold in Canada, the temperature is indicated in degrees Centigrade." Maybe a dealer would be able to tell you how to do it, I don't know any way and I don't see one in my manual.

Thanks guys.
I sure hope there is a way around this otherwise that will be a big pain in the a$$. Will the VIN tell me anything? The previous owner told me he chose centigrade but he couldn't remember how he did it. This might be a stupid question but if that has to do with it being built for Canada would the odometer be in kilometers?

I really don't know much about these. I am more of a muscle car guy. I know she wants to put on a bug deflector at some point, nothing to major. That could all change once I look around this site and start getting ideas.

Thanks for making me feel welcome!
Yes the outside ring is MPH.
Bamachem I am all ears if you think of anything. I talked to a local Toyota dealer today and they said to just push the button that is on top of the dash. When I said there is no button he said "then I don't know look at your owners manual".
Jason, the one we ended up buying is all Silver. We were looking at a white with silver on the bottom but the dealership sold it the day we were supposed to pick it up.
Thanks again

The manual for my 2000 LTD says "The vehicles sold in the USA, the temperature is indicated in degrees Fahrenheit, while the vehicles sold in Canada, the temperature is indicated in degrees Centigrade."
