Borla & TRD Combo??
From what I've gathered the best thing going for exhaust systems for 1998's seems to be the TRD headers and Borla Cat-back, right? This is what I've gathered from Gadget's site, but I could be wrong. Does this include a new muffler or would I need to buy one? Thanks

The Borla cat-back system replaces your entire exhaust system from the catalytic converter all the way to the tail pipe. So, in short, yes it includes the muffler as well.

I have the TRD headers and the TRD cat-back. The cat back for mine was made by Borla and looks exactly like the Borla unit that was on my 95 Taco. I loved them both and have never had any problems with them.

One of the nice things about Borla's systems is the Intercooler tips. I am not sure if the TRD system had the inner sleeve, but it has an effect on the tone as well as to cool the tip. The new TRD system tip acts like a bell and resonates a different harmonic tone. Borla is one of my favorite mfg's. They make a real quality product and their tech department actually knows something ... unlike companies like Gibson who only care about getting the money. Istill think that Flowmaster has the best R&D and Tech department.
