body lift install

For those of you souls that have done a body lift on a 1st gen runner, is there a step by step instructions that also talk about problems I might run into?
Also an idea of what else I might need besides the lift kit. I am wanting to get everyting at once before I start.
Also, I found a good deal on a 3" lift, but that is more than I am wantin from a body lift, 2" max is what I want. Can I just cut off an inch from the parts and use it?

Thanks
Kent

sure thing! i'd recommend his body lift kit over pretty much any of the other ones out there, partly because he is so helpful and his reputation is golden. good luck!

I got an 85 4Runner and I've done a body lift. Nothing to it. Email/PM w/ any questions and check out Roger's site for sure.

I did a 1" BL with Roger's kit. Instructions were clear and easy to do. I had an issue with my auto shift lever that I fixed with a 2" piece of 1/4" x 1" strap.

Roger's kits are the shiznet, don't even consider getting them from someone else.

BTW: by the body mounts while you're in there, easy to install while doing it.

I got my 7/16" x 4 1/2" Grade 8 bolts from McMaster, I think you can get them Roger also. Make sure to tell him what size bolts you're going to use so he can drill out the pucks before he sends them.

How much did the lift, plus all of the extras cost you guys. Using Roger's kit of course.

Thanks

2" body lift on my 00 w/ HD hardware and shifter extension...less than $200

1" body lift on my 85 w/ HD hardware and all new body mount bushings...less than $225 (if your body mount bushings have never been replaced and you do a body lift, replace the bushings too)
