I ended up talking to the guy for a while. He has big plans for it. All the mechanical bits were well done, not just half assed in there. He said it's going to paint shortly with some custom colors and what not. While it's not my thing, I respect the work he's put into it. It's a 4 banger w/ 5-speed. And those wheels stuffed in there are 20's. The Hydraulics were all independant so he could do various things with it.

I used to be into that kindof thing (of course before i got 4X4), BUT look at it this way, its not 4wd and its not yours, so what do you thing of it now. For what it is, I like it, just needs a better paint job (dont know if thats flat black or primer...lol!

I do have to agree. It's not my taste but I do appreciate the work that has gone into it. The only time I will ever bash a ride is when the work is done half assed and things are dangerous. Even if it is not your taste you have to admire the passion and money people have for their rides.

I think it's the wrong car, but you have to admire the work in it. It has to be completely custom suspension. There is no way the A-Arms would go up that far. I don't think the solid axle in the rear would either, but I don't know.

He explained to me where the all the suspension bits came from. All the stock 4Runner stuff was removed in favor of some older truck parts in the front and something else in the rear. I was on a lunch break from doing rescue ops (very tough) for the fire academy so my mind wasn't really in the conversation.

im actually warming up to lowered toys now..properly done of course. at least this one doesnt have those hokey 'euro' tail lights that are nothing but fish tanks upon the first rainfall. theres a blue one in the latest issue of Truckin' i think. i'd leave the flat black..makes it look hardcore. buddy around the corner from me has a nicely canned pre-taco extra cab on what look like tsw hock R's. thing's mint. not overly riced out with gay paint jobs or euro tail lamps. it rides on airbags..and yes it looks nice.
