Black Headlights Installed (Before & After PICS!)

Agree with Sloan. Leave the grill. With the skid plate, it adds just the right amount of shine.
....though some black fuzzy dice would really finish the "look"! LOL Kidding man, it looks great!

I definitely dig the new look, although I don't think I'd like it on any color but black... and x2 on getting rid of the orange reflectors!!! Now you just need to get your projectors in

so very true, it looks like i'll have to put this on the end of my mod list. after i get some black rims and black pearl out my emblems and grille those headlights would look pretty sweet.
if i was you though i would leave your grille alone and not paint it like someone said earlier. i think the chrome grille makes the black headlights on your black vehicle look even better

Yeah I think anyone who has a black 4Runner should get these, it's crazy how much better it makes it look! But yeah projectors have been on my list for a long time, eventually I'll get around to doing that!

I haven't looked at my corner lenses that hard, but is that reflector piece removable? Maybe you could pop that piece out and replace it with the reflector out of your clear lenses. That sucks that they don't off the clear lenses like they did when I bought mine.

Hey guys... have a question to throw at you. The clear blinkers that many of us have. Now that he's got the black corners and headlights, what can he do to darken the blinkers? If the lenses come off could the back of the light (the reflective area) be painted black? Then if we bump up to a brighter bulb would that be enough light to still be useful? That way when the blinker isn't used, they would be darker (the clear lense would lighten the black some) but when using the blinkers, be enough light so they can be seen...
Other options out there to achieve this?

The stock headlights? Already have them sold..
It's different, you see the piece that covers up the bulb in the headlight is bigger compared to the OEM ones. I'll have to file it down and aim it a little and that should fix the beam problem!
Well I kinda sold my stock grille....

Well, don't want to hi-jack the thread but I'm going forward with the black blinkers. I wasn't going to with my clear lenses, but once I dried them out, there was dirt and some corrosion on the inside. So I took them apart to clean them.... Well, one thing lead to another... I'll post pics in my original thread about moisture in clear lenses.....

I'm going with gloss black as the one guy suggested.

That looks really good man. So are those corners with the orange reflectors the black ones that came with the black headlights, or are those your stock ones?
My only suggestion for your 4Runner would be to use some chrome polish on those wheels...... maybe just once in a while, they're filthy!!!!!
Keep up the good work brotha!!

I think you should really do it. But make sure you follow my directions on there.
The more I looked at those pics, the more I hated them... So I took them apart, painted the edges, and used Black Silicone. Much better! No more light ring around them.
