Best mod for under $50 -- Post here!!
Well,
after a lot of soul searching, I've decided to abandon my FJ-60 desires, and focus on my 4Runner desires.
There is a similar thread on ih8mud for cruisers.
What has been your best mod under $50?
Example - felt pad to stop clanking keys against your steering column.
etc.
Hopefully we can get a large enough number to make this a sticky.

bone yard trailer hitch?
more of a "mods" type there are a couple
-I never thought the Maglight clips below the driver seat would "change my world" but its almost that good.
-I added an axuliary fuze box in the engine bay that REALLY is nice for all my addtional wireing stuff ive added as well as cleaning everything up and makeing it safe.
-and to go along with the above, my addtional 12v power points that are wired hot-all-the-time. My 4runner got 2 one in the dash, one in the rear cargo area.
its those "cheep tricks" i find myself useing all the time and worth their weight in gold

1. Supercharger and all associated fuel and timing mods.
2. E-locker and 4.30 gears
3. Stubbs Sliders (won here in a drawing)
Both 1 and 2 cost me nothing thanks to donor rigs and their resale value.
As for what I think you are really getting at, I would have to go with the deckplate, ISR, rear diff breather extension, and O-gasket mod respectively.

In no particular order I would go with:
Rear defroster kit for shell from here: http://www.frostfighter.com/ff_pdt_2600.htm
Deck plate mod & internal snorkel mod (from here: https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f31/4th-gen-2-more-3rd-gens-internal-snorkel-installed-46043/ )
Front sway bar disco’s (build your own as described here: http://pages.sbcglobal.net/larsdennert/4runner/swaybar/ )
Rear receiver shackle hanger and 2 front tow hooks from here: http://www.4wheelparts.com/4wp/index.asp
Aftermarket fuse box and relay bank.
Auxillary back-up lights
