best gas milage
I just drove about 130 miles doing mostly 65-75 mph. I do not do that much driving at high speeds, so i was wondering what you thought was the best speed that got you the bset gas milage? I have a 3.0v-6 with a 2.25" exhaust and 31' and 4.56. I have been getting really crappie gas milage of recent so i think the erg is going but i just deal with it.
thanks,
Joe

2000 V6 Five Speed, K&N Filter and Helix Power Tower.....
-On the interstate, if I'm driving that speed without being like a meniac... (driving aggrsively) I can somtimes average close to 22mpg. If I'm driving very aggresively with lots of acceleration and braking mixed withing it, I get about 16/17mpg. It's amazing the gas mileage difference with my wife driving too....
-I often put 300-340 miles on tank if I'm taking it easly on the interstate.
-I think there was a service bulletin on this, but has anyone noticed that there gas light comes on when there are still 6 1/2 gallons of gas left in the tank? I used to find it kinda annoying, that the gas light came on so early, but I've got used to it, because I always know how much gas is actually left in the tank. Maybe Toyota is trying to save there fuel pumps.

There is a service bulletin about this. It can be recalibrated. contact the dealer and have them take care fo it for you.
I usually get about 17-19 mpg out of my 2002 supercharged Tacoma. My driving is split between city and highway driving.
