best allterrain tires?

I have seen a lot of tires go through a lot of different things. If you are looking for an all around tire that can preform off road, but be quiet, handle well, and have slow tire tread wear (with a good alignment of course), the best tire I have found is the Cooper S/T. I really have not found anything that is not appealing about it. I ended up putting them on my Runner and am so pleased with them off road and on. A little slick in the rain, but awsome on road, snow mud and sand. Any way that's my two cents.

They are at least as good off-road as BFG A/T, but much better on-road,
especially on rain/snow/ice. I tried both.
The only thing I am not so sure with Revo's is resistance to puncture.
BFG's are damn good in that area.

As a satisfied owner of several sets of BFG AT/KO's, I have to say...
Nitto Terra Grappler, yes, NTG.
They do everything BETTER or AS WELL as the bfg for LESS MONEY! Best AT deal I've ever seen, hands down.

How are BFG A/T's off-road? I'm trying to decide between the A/t's and M/t's. I had 33/12.5s on my grand cherokee, and I liked them, especially off-road, but on road they weren't all that wonderful. Anyone have experience with both of them, on and off-road?

The AT's handle better on-road, especially in snow and rain. The MT's handle the deep snow and mud better, off road. I've used my AT's plenty of times in sand, loose rock, and rocky trails. I wouldn't suggest either BFG for true "rockcrawling". Depends on your needs and how much time off the pavement you plan on doing.

The eternal question: "Does size matter?" I was thinking of moving up to 32" tires on my stock alloy wheels. The BFG All Terrain T/A KOs come in a 32x11.50, but according to the Bridgestone websight, the REVOs don't.

I had some bfg A/T's on my ranger. They were great tires except in the rain. From a stop they always wanted to spin, but once I got moving they were good.
I'm looking to get some Nitto Tera Grapplers for my tacoma once it gets lifted.

I purchased a set of Michelin fpr my 2001 Tacoma. The ride well, are quiet and just a few weeks ago tackled a foot of snow wth no trouble. As my prior posts indicate, I think Firestone has some issues with quality. I don 't trust them at all ans since the ride quality and more importantly braking is dependant on good quality tires, I won't by firestone.

FYI - my Yoko's just saved someone’s arse yesterday. It was very wet out and I was exiting the freeway. Someone pulled into the frontage road, finally saw me existing and decided to stop and wait for me, blocking almost all lanes, but directly in front of my path. I have no idea what goes through peoples heads sometimes. You are in a sedan with a decent sized SUV with a nice "sedan" guard mounted on the front coming at you at about 60 mph, and you chose to sit and wait for it even though you had plenty of time to move out of the way. Long story short, I was able to stop hard in the rain, sure the fronts locked up a bit, but my rear antilock brakes did great. I was able to pump a hard brake at the last minute, let off slightly and allow the front to gain control and did a controlled swerve with minimal fishtail. I was able to save this one idiot with the excellent wet weather traction of the Yoko's. Doubt I will switch to another tire after a performance like that!!!

I have the cooper dicoverer ST, and love them. I have not seen the STT before, but am interested. Are they a new line from Cooper? They are a little more agressive than the ST. What's the noise like for a daily driver? The ST is super quiet, but agressive enough that I have never had a problem off road. But perhaps I don't know what I'm missing. Any info?
