The Beat Down Topic

Yes, the questions on the E-locker... again.

Quick backstory: I wasn't concerned about buying an E-Locker rig since this was supposed to be a Corona flip boredem vehicle (all I could do was go back and forth to work during the lockdown, like everyone else) but that has now changed. Now that the fiancée loves driving it and I've since bought LC/Eibach lift springs, E-Locker axle, 99+ console/center bezal, I'm pretty sure I'm keeping it (positive about it actually).

Now, I'm onto the wiring stuff -

Vehicle - 1997 4Runner Limited with plugged in green 4WD ECU

I bought the E-Locker rear end and harness (at locker) with button and pigtail (Tacoma pigtail with light wire leads) and lead for the cluster light to operate. I've looked into how wired my rig is from the factory, and it really isn't at all. All I've found is the Green 4WD/locker ecu in it (89533-35090) behind the kick panel plugged into the harness, that is all. I have no connector for the locker switch and have the four pin white connector under the rear seat (instead of the 8-10 pin white connector) with nothing connected to the black connector. I'd like to wire it in using the factory button and ECU to use some of the factory safeties since she drives it as well (I'd rather the locker light in the cluster to just flash when she accidentally hits the button at 70MPH), but I'm also wanting to be able to lock it in 2WD.

What I can't find is how the green ECU is wired (which pins do what and where do those wire go). All the digrams/FSM's I find are for the black ECU (later model 4Runners) or for Tacoma ECU and plugs. I have a black ECU (89533-35070) but I was wanting to use that in my '86 P/U when the time comes; and the green one is already in the 4Runner and plugged in. I've lost my contacts at the Toyota dealer I used to work for (been years ago) and I obviously don't have an active TIS login anymore since I'm not wiith Toyota. Does anyone have access to the diagrams and connectors used in the circuits so I can wire the system using my green ECU or has someone done this and made a wiring diagram?

I know that there are companies that have the stand alone harnesses but I'm really trying to avoid that and use the factory Toyota ECU/switch. I've searched around all over the web and many different forums but keep either finding the use of the black ECU, peoples rigs mostly wired from the factory, or used the stand-alone harnesses and aftermarket switch (which is what I'm wanting to avoid since this is the 'nice, going to town' rig).

Thank for any help!

For those that hate reading:

Who has the EWD for an early 3rd Gen (96-98) 4Runner showing the green ECU wiring that would share?
