I like those Nitto Grapplers. Anybody know a good dealer online because I'm pretty sure that nobody will have them in stock around here.

I think I have narrowed it down to the Land Terrain BFG's, Revo's or the Grapplers. And based on all of the opinions that I have gotten the Revo's sound pretty good. If its possible, could somebody post some pics of them...not a lot, just something so that I can get an idea of what they will look like.

I really appreciate all this help, also thanks for explaining the warranty to me...I will be interested to see what the sales person says

Any more recommendations are welcome, thanks again!

There's a couple threads about the Revo's already, but here's a couple pics of mine.

As for as the Rugged Trails go, I rotated and ballanced a set of those on a Tundra a couple days ago.
14K on the truck, these things were worn out.
Avoid them at all costs!!!

EDIT - image of the actual tread:

Okay, but you did quote my post, so one would think you were speaking to me...sorry for the confusion.

Nope. too hard of rubber is what I meant, as in the rubber doesn't give as much, thus it wears faster when put under frictional stress.

Maybe your experience was different, but in general softer compounds almost always wear faster than harder ones.

Alright...I think the Revo's will probably be what we decide to go with. I just need to know what the pricing is..I ran a search but it still must not be workin cause I didn't get very many results.

Anybody know how much a 245/75R16 would cost? Or any place online that sells them?

Thanks for the help guys!

Goodyear Wrangler RT/S. Now before everyone ˟˟˟˟s on me, here is why:

1) They come stock on 4runners and many other vehicles b/c they provide good traction (on road), last a decent amount of time, and have a very quiet ride.
2) Not for off roading at all, but will go through gravel roads or dirt roads with no problems.
3) Dirt cheap, you can get them for around $80-90/tire.
4) Some will say they have weak side walls, but I went off roading in mine twice and they held up pretty well. They only got stuck in deep mud.

So for the avg joe looking for a decent tread life, quiet ride, low cost. I would vote for these. But my experience is very limited in this since they came stock on my 2nd gen and on my 3rd gen. We have rugged trail on the tundra ... totally sucks, why my dad bought them again is beyond me.

my 2 cents, take it for whats its worth.

Online stores for checking price:

www.tirerack.com
and discounttire.com

Not necessarily who I'd order from, but gives you an estimate. Tire rack usually has really good prices, but I like the conveniance of a shop putting the tires on.

Ended up going with Bridgestone's private label called Lemans, so far they have held up great and look awesome on the pickup. I spent about an hour today in the fields and some minor mud and dirt and gunk tryin to spin out and the only time they did was when I was in 2WD and no weight in the back. Its a long bed pickup...what do you expect?!?!

Total came to 470 and some change...mounted, balanced, free flat repair, roadside assistance, lifetime rotation and balancing. Pretty good deal if you ask me

I'll let you know how they stack up...

REVOs are good tires for all-around use. I saw it on Mad Chemist's rig and it looks real good too. Sometimes i wish i went with the REVOs but if you talk about looks BFG ATs are better i think
