Ball jointed anti-roll bar links

Ball jointed anti-roll bar links
As far as I can gather, runners dont have the above front anti rollbar endlink or am i wrong. Your rollbars terminate with a horizontal eye thru which drops a simple bolt, while the hilux surf has a vertical eye thru which a balljointed pin/bolt goes.
If I am wrong and your facelifted 2nd gens do sport the same cursed balljointed affliction which mine does, has anyone come up with something alternative to Toyotas offering which is expensive to replace obviously?

Those are the same links used on all of the 3rd gen 4runners and they don't last long if you go offroad often and limit your articulation. If I were you make or buy a set of Lars disconnects. They cost less, are stronger, and can be removed for 4wheeling.

funnily it seems your links are upside-down compared to a hiluxsurf! Still they may be the same. It seems Toyota changed the runners link from the simple bolt to the balljointed type but they didnt change the roll bar itself. On a hiluxsurf the rollbar did change and hence the link could be fitted with the balljoint end at the top.
I'd order a pair of Lars discos if anyone could confirm that my link does match the runners stock one. The long shaft on mine link is 5 and 1/4 inches long, it is 3/8" in diameter.
(For 3rd gens, Toyota shortened the hiluxsurf link by about 2 inches just to confuse things more for us)

Here's what my 93 4runner's looks like

I've seen different styles though and if I remember correctly the trucks are different from the 4runners (89-95).
I didn't know there was a problem with these.
