backlight for heat/ ac cluster 97 T4R
Hey all,
I need to replace the blub that backlights my heat /A/C cluster
What i would like to know.. is the black trimplate(beige inerior) that has the radio/EQ (in my case).. does it just un snap? or are there any screws that i have to remove? or does the HEAT/AC cluster by it self just come out?
Thanks

IS the TT really that much better? is it easier to install that the k&n? I went to the link you sent me... it's a lot cheaper.. or is that just the filter part? either way thanks for the reply.

i wouldn't waste the money at all. Those filters do nothing but clog up your AFM. They dont improve performance.
Thats the reason most of the guys on here dont bother with expensive "cold air intakes" and other such non-sense. The air intake gains are not worth the expense, OR the extra crap it lets into your engine.

Cold air intakes are 100% street legal, as are the drop in filters. They cannot make you remove them.
However, the ISR and Deckplate mods are NOT street legal, persay. In some areas, they will make you remove it or replace the air cleaner assy. generally with that rule it depends on how picky the state worker is being that day. A guy posted on here from CA, saying the Smog Nazis made him replace the air cleaner since it wasn't C.A.R.B. legal.

Elton,
I was able to change the bulb out . thanks for the guidance. However you said it was a 74 bulb, the bulb i pulled out only had the voltage on it.the book that the guy had said it was a 73 so i bought both... voltage is the same but one appears a touch brighter..and 2 other people i spoke with also said it was a 74..physically the original bulb is skinnier than the replacments- although the green rubber condom does fit. I dont want to it.
i'll see how it looks at night.
thanks again
