a-arm hitting tire.

After getting my new tires on (33x12.5R15) my tacoma I noticed that my upper a-arm is hitting my tire when the tires are off the ground... Is this something is should be concerned about? any suggestions? The truck has a 3" lift and I'm not having any problem with them fitting other than this.

Only a problem if you don't like blowouts on the highway.

What wheels (with what backspacing) are you using?

Might need wheel spacers, but that's going to destroy your fender/tire clearance.

Did you just put the lift on? Are the tires wider than the last set. If the lift is new, call the manufacturer and see what they recommend for wheel backspacing for your kit.You may need to run a wheel spacer or buy new rims.

I'm using the stock 15x8 rims. Quickly measuring it looks like i have about 6 1/4" backspacing. And if I did get new rims how much of a negative backspacing would i have to go?

smaller the spacer the better... right? And would this be a bad idea for my trail rig? Rims are a little out of the budget =P

yup.

Not a bad idea. It wont cause any problems to run one or two per side.

Badass man thanks, think you could link the spacer you're talking about. I'm not seeing a 1/4" anywhere.

I don't think there are any 15x8 stock Toyota rims ... only 15x7 .. and certainly not with 6+" backspace.

x2 on that. Also if you decide to get 1/4" wheel spacers. Make sure you have enough thread engagment between your lugs and lug nuts when you put them on. You dont want your tire to fall off driving down the road.
