a slot port will always sound better than a round port. you git port noise with round ports. Slot ports are easier to make and sound better. IF you Must use a round port then I would try the local plumbing store and use PVC. or you could recalculate the port length using different sizes, there are many port calculators on the web, just search around on google

that is silly, a slot port is 3 sides of wood, maybe 15 staples, some glue, router the inside so you don't get whiffle, and maybe 3 minutes of math to figure out length. that shop is BS or they suck

what is your setup anyways

the box was pre built for some guy who packed out on it and im getting a sick deal. they are making the box smaller to fit my subs

i rock 2 mtx thunder 8000 15's. each being pushed by a jbl bp1200.1 each pushing 1200 watts rms. 2 stinger htm digital caps 1 gauge wire etc etc

cool deal, that's one heck of a setup, I had 2 polk/momo 12's in a wood box with only a 500/1 running both in the 4runner and it would make your eyes vibrate no they are in a fiberglass enclosure in the side pannels, and the box is too small so they don't get as loud, but it is loud enough.

I don't think you will have a problem with not being loud enough

nice i had 2 polk momos last with a 775 watt mtx amo and then one jbl bp1200.1 and they hit really clean (better than the jlw6v2's they rpelaced) but i blew 3 of them in a row not even playing them that loud. im trying to work something ouit with polk (they all came from the same batch soo im thinking defective)
