Maybe at those lower speeds and hitting bumps it doesn't get moved back into position quick enough? The stuff is mainly sold to long-haul truckers around here, and they would be mostly concerned with freeway speeds.

Dude, if the mods figure that they deserve one of those PM's, they'll get one. You however have lashed out against several people over and over again. This is their way of saying chill out. We told you to earlier but wanted to get all defensive over it when we were just messing around with you. Oh yeah, and how brave of you to insult a completely unmodified rig...

yeah so I'm waiting until I get new tires in the next month or so before I get the equal. The guy at the Tire center where it's done said my 35's were too far gone , to be worth it. They are almost bald... I am thinking of running TRXUS Mud Terrains, this time because one, I'm tired of the Procomps, and I've had 3 sets of their muds and two I know that all tires in the swamper line measure up to what they say, unlike most mud tires don't really come close. I know they measure them when their not on the rim, but my "35's" are really 33.5" with 25lbs in them, I had Pcomp 33's before, and they measured 31.7" , with 25 lbs and started out in the mud line with pcomp 31's , that are 29.5 with 25 lbs in them .........I guess it's like the "Quarter Pounder" at Mcdonalds.......it's a "Quarter Pound" ...... BEFORE it's Cooked !!!
anyway so I think I'm getting the Trxus 35 x 12.5 x 15 muds ( measure 35" ) probably at least one new rim ( Black Rockcrawlers ) and having the Equal put in them then.
I appreciate all the good info you guys brought, I just didn't like all the other that happened......I in fact stopped the hazing earlier, but a couple of you kept on egging me on , so I continued. " If you don't want piss all over you, Quit pissing upwind "

Well you'll have to update us when you get the Equal put in and tell us how you like it. And I never knew that they changed that much with air in 'em, I wonder how BFG Mud Terrains warp and if I could go up on them. Anyone with info on that, it would be appreciated.

I know most people keep 30 lbs in their tires , I only run 25 on the road and usually around 10, wheeling , I do think that their are alot of Big Chevy, Dodge, Ford Lifted Mall Cruisers, at least here in the Bay Area, that run 40 - 60 lbs in their 35's and up......I think they think it makes their truck taller or something, and it may make the tire a little fuller thus taller I suppose...
My deal is that I have the normal 4" Pcomp susp. lift , but have an additonal 2" NWOR Rear Springs and have my Swayaway 26mm Torsion bars cranked 2 inches to match the rear .......so it's real stiff.....the cure ......run lower tire pressue, and let the tires be your shocks, so to speak....yeah I know .." Nothing will Buck, Like a Toyota Truck"!
But it's works, Oh and I tossed the Sway bar Long ago on "Little Sluice" at the 'Con, so I do get some much appreciated sway and pseudo articulation, I just not into dropping $ 2000 in a SAS, maybe later...I know you must be thinking about Drive line angle...yeah I broke the Rear tailshaft bearing as well as the Output shaft out of the T-case, with the extreme angle.....it's all better now with a Spicer Slip yoke Drive shaft, thats 3 cv points instead of 2 u joints, 2 at the T-case ( to split the angle) and one at the pumpkin........
anyway , I didn't mean to be a dick , before !! I just want to talk about making our Yotas better , meeting for runs , and enjoying the deal , not the other BS !!!

One of my clients , has it in his Full size chevy along with Nitrogen for the gas filler and loves it .....he's turned me on to the place he goes to in Oakland where they mount the tires with air and equal like liquid, then drop all the air out and refill with nitrogen. He says that he gets better mileage , because the tires don't expand like tires with air in them, and that the tires don't disenagrate because the inert gas of Nitrogen is a better atmosphere inside the tire for the tire health. He runs them in his companies Marble / Tile Trucks ( 18 wheelers and Bobtails ) and it keeps his and the companies tires true !!! so real soon It'll be a done deal !!! Probably start off with brand new wheels, to make sure of the trueness from the get go. Although I still would like to find out about if the equal, counterbalance beads, or Liquid balance can fix already bent rims...... anybody know ???

He gets better mileage because nitrogen doesn't expand. Does that mean if I raise my air pressure in my tires to 50psi, I'll get worse mileage?
Here's a good discussion on nitrogen for non-race cars: http://forum.miata.net/cgi-bin/ultim...;f=11;t=020662

I didn't say anything about raising pressure in the tires, Plus thats with using Nitrogen not air in your tires , as far as your statement , Does that mean if I raise my air pressure in my tires to 50psi, I'll get worse mileage? No you'll get better mileage with less rolling resistance, but again I wasn't talking about raising the pressure, that was you saying that not me
I think what he was saying is that because Nitrogen is an inert gas, thats it doesn't affect the tire , like air does, so if your running 25lbs in the tire of Nitogen , it'll run the same and be the same condition in 140 degrees in Death Valley as 30 below on the Rubicon, and since it doesn't eat at the tire like air and water from the air you pump your tires up with , the tire runs cooler doesn't deform and stays at a constant presssure , thus better mileage.
as far as your pasted article, thats great , just Maza Miata tires , racing ones or not are a far cry from my mud tires, plus I'm not driving at 200 mph, I't's normal city driving , some freeway and wheelin. Thats like comparing apples to oranges. as far as demanding a scientific explanation, I don't one , have one, and two don't care to prove my point or his . I was just stating what a client of mine said thats all !!!
Also why haven't you answered my PM to you, Robinhood150 ? I said lets meet up and go wheeling , because I live near you, why haven't you answered ???

I guess "the tires don't expand like tires with air in them" is something different than what you were trying to say. Rather, you were trying to say that nitrogen expands at a different rate than air. Fair enough.
You didn't really read the thread and really think about what they're saying, did you? They're saying for everyday cars nitrogen is a joke...a gimmick. Also, they state the ideal gas law which states all gas will expand or contract depending on the temperature...that's all gas including nitrogen. I'm just stating that I don't believe your client.
Edit: When's the last time you pulled off an old tire and found that it was deteriorating from the inside out? Your tire will die from a rock or simple wear way before it deteriorates from the inside.
Regarding the PM, I didn't think you were that serious about it. Anyway, you're welcome to join my clubs outings (see my sig). There's not too much planned right now, but there should be more once the snow melts.
