Nah, I've never had any problems with it. I don't know how restrictive it is, but it seems to flow nice, and has a deep sound to it that is not too loud, unless I want it to be. I like mine, and I wouldn't have bought any other kind, unless it was a much better deal. There is not much that I will show brand loyalty towards, mostly just Toyotas, and Flowmasters. It just sounds great, and flows great, and if anyone gives you crap about it being restrictive, they are just jealous that you have a flowmaster and they don't.

I'm not sure. I'm leaning toward NO though, because the new Super 44 is a little on the pricey side, and the sound will be different, but the results(performance wise) are likely to be the same. Also correct me if I am mistaken, but I do believe that all new mufflers are required to meet new noise emmissions standards of like 98dB or something like that. So the Super 44 might be a little quiet for your tastes when you want to make a little noise. I wouldn't recommend it if you already have a delta 40. The Delta 40 isn't the best that Flowmaster makes, but it is still a very good muffler. If you really want some gains, go with a cat back, or a full custom setup 2.25inches for the 22RE and 2.5inches for the 3.0. Maybe a header might be in order, as well. I run the 3.0 headers from Downey and they compliment the 2.5 Flowmaster nicely.

Well, if you're not satisfied with your Delta 40, get it. Thats a great deal, but if your exhaust works just fine for you, pass. Maybe consider a header. Never a let down, and I noticed lots more power in my 3.0.

back to your original question, I have an exhaust cutout before my muffler, its y-pipe welded on right before the muffle, one side leads through the muffler as normal for normal everyday driving, but the other has a plate on the end, when im feeling froggy ill take the plate of, so the exhaust will run through the cat and then just out of this pipe, and it sounds badass... its super easy to take off, about 30 seconds, so i recommend this for everyone that gets cravings to have their truck real loud for a trail run or around the block

I'm pretty interested in the cutouts, and aside from the obvious benefits(LOUD!!!) I'm also interested in the other benefits(improved MPG, more horsepower, etc.) I wouldn't want a cutout that I have to unbolt, because I think it would be "inconvenient" to pull up next to a cop and then have to explain why I am running open headers. I would want one of the cable operated cutouts. Anyone use/know anything about these?
