Chea, It is actually 14 cubes LOL!! I sorta miscalculated!! Or, I can Make it less, but like I said I'm debating on having first layer inside box or having both glued and on top of box... I just don't know... If I do, I think it should be better am I correct?? Then I will have 3.5 cubic per sub!!
Double layers on top of the box will be better. According to my winisd program, 12" port length is good. You're doing it the right way

Thanks.... Now the hard part of making the holes and port hole Here is a sorta dumb question, but never made a baffle top before... Am I suppose to glue the 2 together and then cut holes??? Just wondering if glue will mess up cut...

The glue will not mess up cuts. You should get some 1 1/4" screws and do predrill on both layers then put glue on it. That's what I did to my back wall in my 4runner.

like this..

just give you some ideas..

Hey
4runner114, Nice set-up!!!

Hey just wondering what are your plans for power? As in what amps? Batteries? Caps? Alternator?

Caps are absolutey wasting money. I only have an interstate battery and stock alternator. The voltage measured at 11.5v at full tilt which isn't to bad for 2,500 watts.

I'd suggest upgrade 4 gauges wires, alternator to battery postive, battery negative to frame/chassis, and chassis to engine. You will notice huge difference. The alternator is the main of the electrical system. A high output alternator will be even better.

Same stock alt, Rockford Fosgate T10001bd amp per pair, I have a cap but have to lose it and get Kenitic battery.... Just might for now use the 1 T10001bd amp I got, and wire it for 2 ohms stable and hook all 4 subs to it(750 watts) ... But still want to cover the box with sumfin Still don't know what to freakin do!! LOL!!

Oh and Chea 4rx... The 4 guage upgrade is what every1 calls THE BIG 3... It helps a whole lot!! I also still need to get holes for wires but What I want to do is just use a small bolt or all thread and drill a hole in box for that, and then use washers and nuts to hold it together on box. Then use the crimps with holes to connect wires to all thread... Did that make any sense?? LOL

I'm runnin 4ga for power and ground. Headlights dim like crazy. (This is still in the Camry btw) If it does the same in the 4runner, I'm going to do the big 3 mod (search it) with 0/1ga. It may be oversized but how can you really be oversized when it comes to wire. Thats like saying its oversafe. lol

and you'll be over charged. of course, stereo systems regardless are always a no yield investment haha, so why not? the dimming of the headlights is more related to the battery and alternator than anything.

Paying extra money for the larger wire is sort of a waste, when you can spend the extra money on a heavier duty cycle battery and H.O. alternator and get much better results. That being said, make sure your wires aren't undersized. Upgrading the battery to chassis ground is ESSENTIAL if you plan on running any sizable load in these Toyota's. They only have an 8 gauge ground if I recall correctly.

Its not very much more expensive than 4ga so why not. Not like I'm buying a mile either.

Another question. Is it bad for me to run it with the headlights dimming?

nope. just annoying. and depending where you put your amp and how much you oversize your wire, the difference could be upwards of 15 dollars for materials alone. not to mention how much more expensive the fittings and terminals become haha. but I guess in the end that's really a negligible price difference to most. I just try to be thrifty at every corner haha...

No, I meant I was doing the Big 3 mod with 0/1ga. I have 4ga on my amp. Yeah that would be expensive lol I think it takes about 20ft to do the runner.
