So does that 1 inch tweet fit underneath the stock tweet cover?

How do you like the speakers? What do you have in the rear? Sub?

Wattage is what costs money and those speakers are thirsty... I am pushing 150w per channel and they are good, but I think similar gear could be had for much less.

Check out these guys http://www.cdtaudio.com/ they are thought of by many competitive circles as the hands down leader in car audio. They will definately be my next set.

So I'm gonna be putting a system in the new runner finally!!! Just got a couple of the main components for a good deal.

An AQ 4x90 and an AQ1200D.

They are the 2 black ones. The others are for sale.

I think the 4 channel will end up fitting underneath the driver's seat. And Im gonna try to hide the 1200 watt for the sub in the quarter panel cubby hole somewhere near here...

i have the stock deck and i added pioneer 6.5 three ways up front and some kicker 4s in the rear which i do NOT recommend. but at a stereo competition i bought $7 in raffle tickets and one a set of JBL GTO528s and put those in in place of the pioneers. i just need better rear speakers, but that can wait

Cadence zrs slim 6.5" components fit in the doors with no mods besides using longer screws into the plastic. sound great especially for the price if you can find them. I am running an 18" kicker solo x , hifonics brz2400.1 amp, 10 cube ported box tuned to 35hz, and deep cycle battery located in the back. hit 150.7db on a audiocontrol meter on music. Selling my 4runner now, so i have to take it out more than likely, anyone around greenville,sc that wants a good deal on the whole set up pm me or if you just want to hear it lol

Haven't had any problems. I have a 2nd deep cycle battery for the amp. I'm sure it puts extra strain on the alt, but my voltage on burps or continuous playing never drops below 12.8. The brz line amps are suppose to be very efficient compared to many

It really is a pain trying to get the crossover to fit in the door. I played with the idea of putting it in the door pocket on the inside of the car and running the wires through the panel, but finally got it to fit above the speaker at a weird angle.

And another thing, the stock tweeter is screwed into a bracket that is attached to the pillar. The Kenwood tweeters I got didn't have a screw hole in the back of them like the stock tweeters did. I just Gorilla Glued them to the bracket, and I think they'll be fine like that.
I just bought those Kenwood speakers but I havent had the chance to install them yet. I bought these cause they have the small inline crossover built into the tweeter wire, not the crossover box. Were they really that hard to install? Or do you have the excelon series instead of the performance series?

No more system in my 4runner I am putting system in my honda crx. I might put a small system, something like 1 10" cause I need some room in the 4runner. Look forward to that 4 18's system builds. Looks good.

I advice not using stock head units. I tried this with mine and it is a pain to use the RCA convertor boxes to hook up your amp. You can buy Double-Din radios like the one i have in my Album for less than $300 and maintain a stock looks with tons of extras. I blew my first sub and the audio shop said the reason was because the signal from my radio was so trashy that that was what caused my sub to fail.
