I helped a freind put one of those in him mustang. It is GREAT if you have an Ipod. Forget CDs though there is no drive. I would love to have that head unit if I had an Ipod but I dont. And I'd rather have a Zune but there is nothing like this made for them.

No pics yet... but...

Eclipse AVN-6620 Navi + Blue Tooth Adapter
Eclipse SC8264 6 1/2 Front Components
Eclipse Point Source 89640 6.5" Rears
Dynomat Extreme on all 4 doors

Sounds is very good. The rear 6 1/2's put off good bass.

Thinking about building a custom 10" enclosure where everyone else does... rear passenger side where that little compartment is.

I'll get some pics up of it all..

I learned today that that friend is getting rid of his system so I was thinking about buying that HU off him. I realized if you have a flash drive or external hard drive you can throw that in the glove box on the USB cable and it will work the same. I think I'm gonna do that so I dont have to get an Ipod.

Jensen 7" Flip Out TV

Comes in handy when I don't want alot of bass or really want to pound it

Two 12" Audiobahn ALUM12Q Subs

Audiobahn A18001DT Amp

Also have Infinity Reference speakers in the front (6.5") and rear (4")

All i really have is 2 subs, amp and a deck. Nothin that fancy, i had this set up in my old car and when i sold it i moved it all over to the runner.

Deck is a Pioneer DEH-P490IB with the Ipod connected through the back and sitting in the glove box.

The subs are JBL GT4 10'', I believe they are the 07 model. The amp is a Kicker 300.1, under powering these subs but still plenty of bass and i will never blow the subs.

It doesnt matter. There are some first gens in here. Theyre all pretty much the same. We like all systems! There are even some pickups in here.

Like this:

Made adapters

Cut the Door like this

Modify the Door panel and pocket like this

Install like this...Just make sure your speaker is not too deep or your window won't go down all the way...mine easily cleared the window...

I used Focal Components for my install...the bass is so good I decided I didn't need a bulky subwoofer...and all is stealth!

dude, its a stereo thread... there is no "tech" and it certainly isn't 'clogging up' anything. in all actuality, this should almost be posted in the off topic section.

a system is a system, no matter what vehicle its installed in. cool your jets man, and loosen up a little.

Thank you. I was just going to say that. 2nd and 3rd gens are so similar there is nothing to complain about. Honestly I wouldnt care if someone posted the system in their Hundai in this thread. They are all stereos just seeing someone else's setup gives you new ideas.
