Just started with the Alpine I-Pod and Flash Drive only deck (so sick, way worth the money, who uses CD's anymore anyways). Crap speakers so far, but I'd suggest the Alpine I-Pod and Flash Drive deck to anyone (no moving parts, so freaking sweet, very shock absorbent).

All my door speakers are stock but I have a Pioneer z1, Alpine MRD-1005 amp and a 12" alpine type-x in the trunk. I must say though the stock speakers do pretty darn good for what they are. This Summer at some point I'll likely be swapping them out though.

cool systems. i'm sure there are more 4runner who have aftermarket sound system. post them!

I'm having trouble uploading pics at photobucket! I'll try to upload the pics later.

my system:
head unit - Eclipse CD5000
amp - Orion 2500d running at 0.5ohm
subs - two Orion H2 15" in a 6cubes tuned to 40hz
speakers - Infinity References 6.5" front 4" rear.

I really need a high output alternator and 3 batteries. I only have stock alternator and one battery. by the way, I broke the little glove box thing right above the rearview mirror. It fell down on the floor. LOL I love loud music.

Wow! I have 2 MA 15s in my moms camry that will be going into the 4runner once its driving. Is that 6 cubes per sub??? I made a sealed box out of 3/4 MDF and it is SOLID but its about 1.5 cubes per sub. I think it sounds muffled. When I move them to the runner I wanna build a bigger box and port it and add a capacitor. MA has no specs for boxes on their site so I have no idea how big I should build or what the port should be. I'd rather keep some cargo area if I could, I'm thinkin short term just flippin the subs upside down and adding a cap to get a little more kick and some more room in the box. But they are chrome baskets and will attract attention.

Do you think I should go that big? I would like to be able to do like 3 cubes per sub ported but idk if thats to small.

no, that's 3cubes per sub. subs in the common chamber is louder than seperate chamber. if you have no specs on the ma audio subs then i can't help design the ported box. if you have no choice, go with sealed box.

Yeah I thought it was a pretty stealthy place to mount the control knob. Although I mainly adjust my bass through the flip out instead of messing with that knob. Stereo control + bass boost knob + gain control + dB booster = too many variables, so all three settings, except the sub levels, are always at the same level
