Anyone have Bilstein's on a G3 4Runner

What do people think of BIlsteins?
I'm thinking about changing shocks, I'm @ about 50K miles now, same shocks/brakes...

Any big difference between those and stock?
Also, how much would they cost to install typically?
(I'm not intersted in lifting)

Thanks!

Quite popular here...do a search. Around $125 to install 4 is a fair price.

Love mine...
I even have the HD OME coils and I rode in my buddies lexus the other day, and liked the ride in the runner better. It just took bumps better. Hard to explain. My friend prolly needs new shocks really bad or something. I didn't get it. But, either way... can't go wrong with bills! Lifetime warrenty too! I believe the cheapest place to get shocks is www.shox.com you have to wait for an email reply for prices, but just give them a whirl. Thats the cheapestplace I could find.

do the bilstein's. If you've had the original shocks on there for 50k (those cheesy shocks have got to be well past shot by now), you'll be amazed at the improvement. Good Luck!

Are there different types/products that Bilstein makes, or do they only make one type of shock for the 96 4runner?
Also, anyone know where a good place to have shocks installed in Southern CA is?

I have the oem springs and went with the HD bilsteins for my '99 4wd. Wheel Warehouse in Anaheim ordered the shocks and did the install. You also want to have an alignment done with the new shocks.

Steve.

Struts are just an integrated shock and spring design (usually only in the front on a vehicle).
So if you are replacing the front shocks, you are by definition, replacing the struts.
