Anybody have Sylvania XtraVisions?
One of my wife's low beam headlight bulbs is out and I'm gonna swap both at the same time. She's got separate bulbs for the lows, two more for the highs, and two fog lamp bulbs (it's a Lexus). She won't let me spend the money on all Silverstars, so I wanted to put in a couple of XtraVisions in her low beams. Problem is, Sylvania's site seems to indicate that the XtraVision is a higher wattage bulb. Higher wattage than stock=burned up wiring harness. Don't want that. Anybody know anything about the XtraVision and their wattage? The bulb size is 9006. Thanks.

they are!
Please either stick with stock replacements from autozone (same company makes them as the sylvania, just look at the bulb ) or step up and buy the silverstars as they are very worth the money in every experience (3 different cars of mine) I have used them in!!!

They are all the same wattage the difference is in the color tempeture.
I installed the Cool Blues(whiter light that the XV) a couple years ago and have been pretty happy with them. If i had to do it again I would def get the silverstars.

Yup, I just got silverstars in my 4runner a few weeks ago. They are awesome. Especially low beam. Way better than the stock headlights. Worth the $5 extra over the regular replacement ones.

Honestly, I've had the silverstars and they just don't last that long.
Also, the silvania "cool blue" bulbs actually look identicle to the silverstars when illuminated. I ran with one "cool blue" and one Silverstar for a long time and now i'm back to the "cool blue's" = better value.

Do you guys with the ill lasting Silvers use your headlamps as DRLs? DRLs will kill most aftermarket "white" bulbs early.
If i had DLRs I look for an alternative or just stick with OEM. I think Nighthawks would be better in the longer lasting department.

3 years on my Silverstars and I drive with the lights on day and night and have for many years. When I put them in all read on here is how they would never last and it was a wast of money. Sure can't prove that by me! Mike
