Any plans for a TRD 4th gen. s/c?

Has anyone heard of any plans for a 4th gen 4-Runner TRD s/c?
Is there a TRD s/c for the Tundra 8 cyl?
Do they have the same engine?

I am assuming that the 3rd gen with a TRD s/c (265 hp) would smoke a stock 4th gen. (235 hp). Any thoughts about a drag race?? 0-60 in ??? Sec.

Yes the s/c is in the works right now, I believe it is the same as the Tundra they are just fine tuning it for the 4Runner.

Hey!
The S/C for the taundra V8 is already out. As mentioned above, the one for the 4th gen Runner is on its way. Not sure why they can't use the same S/C as they both have the same engine.

Has anybody heard whether or not the 4.0 is going to get an S/C?
Imagine that combo in my 2nd gen. Would be sweet!

Well, have fun.

I have heard that the 4Runner V8 and the Tundra V8 are not really all that similar...

Apparently the 4Runner V8 is a somewhat 'tweeked' Tundra engine...

Anyone heard this too?

I was wanting to know the same thing. What are the differences with the two? What would happen if you put one of the existing S.C. you can buy from TRD right now, on a 4th gen runners V8?

The 4.7L V8 used in the 03 4Runner is the same as the ones used in the Land Cruiser/Tundra/Sequoia/Lexus LX470/GX470(new, sharing the 4Runner platform). Apparently however, in the new 4Runne, the engine had a new OBDIII system versus the older OBDII, its the computer diagnostic system. I believe this is the only difference, I think the s/c will be the same too except a few tweaks but nothing major. It must be necessary to do otherwise TRD wouldnt bother.
