Another suspension question
hey all, I've been trying to search for an answer on this question but haven't seen any.
I am interested in getting the OME 890 springs and OME N86C shocks for the rear.
I have read that if I install the OME880 springs and OME N91SC shocks on the front, the front end will be a lot lower than the rear. My question is, if I got the HD springs in the front, do you know if that would even it out?
Also, If I decided to go with the standard spring and had to install a spacer, would that have any ill effects?

Look at this site for your questions. There are plenty of write-ups here that will answer all your questions. personally, I would use the OME891's (Heavy Duty) springs in back and go with SAW adjustable coilovers in front like I did. unless money is an issue, then I would go with the OME heavyduties gear front and rear, not the 890/880 unless you don't go offroad ever. mine runs great on the trails and great on the streets and highways.

I ran the full OME HD setup front and rear before I purchased my SAW's. I was really pleased with it. The rear did sit a little higher than the front. You could always add a spacer and a front diff drop kit from revtek...

The reason I didn't want to go with the HD shocks / coils is because about 85% of my driving is on the street, and I didn't need all the lift the HD shocks provide, but I still want the ability to go offroad.

I noticed that on the suspension page on ODW, alot of people are using progressive rate springs with spacers. I thought that was a no-no. I didn't think (at least with PP springs) that using spacers was a good idea.

I've noticed that alot of people try this first, I guess from their lack of research. I have seen that most people that do that and go offroading alot usually end up pulling it all out and doing it differently. That's why I did my research and decided to go ahead and do it right the first time. personally, I don't like spacers at all but if I ever do the manual hub conversion I will need to use some in the rear because I will lift the front a little more then.
