I did it on my Civic with 90k miles, ran it, drained in and replaced the oil with Amsoil Sythetic about six months ago. Changed the oil after 5k, it looked a little dirty, this change looks like it's staying cleaner. I guess the cleaner loosened everything up and it took a change to clear it out.

Not knowing the first thing about this product, I have a 4runner with 85k on the clock now and this sounds like it might be a beneficial thing to do to ensure the continued health of my engine which is running great - I'd like to keep it that way.
I also just got an oil change (about 20 miles ago actually). Should I use something like this now and let it move all that gunk through for another 3k miles, or wait until I'm near the end of that before I get another change and go for it then?
I very much dislike the idea of having free particles floating around in the oil, but maybe this stuff needs some time to do it's thing...

I did this recently to my 4Runner. Here is what I did. I drained about a quart of oil and then poured in the cleaner. Then I ran the engine for about 20 minutes. DO NOT DRIVE THE VEHICLE WITH THIS STUFF IN YOUR ENGINE. Drain the oil and change the filter. Refill with whatever you choose and your done. Hope this helps. BTW these instructions are on the container.
