Alignment

As some guys might have seen I just recently purchased a 2000 Limited 4runner. The vehicle runs great and I love it. I do however have a vibration above 65 mph and I decided I am going to get the road force balance and an alignment done. That's where my question comes in. Do you guys recommend getting a 4wheel alignment or is just a front end alignment good enough? I would imagine front end is good enough but I wanted some other people's opinions before i took it in. Also is $19 a tire a good price for the road force balance? They are using the haweka adapter too I made sure they used that on lug centric wheels.

2 front wheel balance is fine. im pretty sure we have solid rear axles. im not sure on the pricing but as long as they use the haweka tool, you should be fine. i've been lucky and havent ran into any shops that didnt do it right. good luck.

The only part of the suspension that is adjustable are the front lower A-Arms. BUT--you know the saying--you get what you pay for. Dont cheap out and go to somebody that knows alignments. If it is done right it will cost you about a $100 or so.

Also check you front end components....i.e.. ball joints and Tie-Rod ends. If they are worn out it will cause suspension problems also....

Well the only place near me that has both the road force machine and the haweka adapter is my local Toyota Dealer. They said it would be $19 per tire to raod balance and $39.99 for a front end alignment. I just wanted to see if the front end was all that would be needed. The runner is not pulling to either side and seems to track straight I just figured I would get one done since I do not know when its had one last and while they are balancing I might as well do it. But the concensus seems to be that a front end alignment is all that is needed barring any problems with the steering rack and/or suspension.
