Aisin instalation ?'s

So, I just bought a set of Aisin manual hubs. I am getting ready to install then (just waiting by the mailbox ) but I had a couple questions.

1st) I installed a set of Warn hubs on my 87 a few years ago, and I needed an adapter kit... will I need on with these?

2nd) should I run to Toyota or Tacoma Screw (I love that name!) and get all new hardware for it?

3rd and final) Is there anything else that I should expect when doing this?? Or is there anything "special" that I need to do this insalation???

Thanks!!!!!

Aisins will fit your stock hubs, as long as they are from an 87 and newer truck i believe, so no adapter kit required.

Follow the guidelines posted on here and 4x4wire and you shouldnt have any problems.

1) no you don't need anything.
2) Just reuse the hardware off your ADD flanges
3) Be sure to grease em up before you put em on, and make sure they work before you put em on.
Good Luck!

Dont lose the small BB and spring. Do the rebuild on a towel or shop rag also paint your ring and dial.

new gaskets should be the only thing you need to purchase. follow the above suggestions and it should take you about an hour to complete the job.

I got new hardware when I swapped my 88 auto hubs out for the manual hubs. There's a difference between the ADD and auto hubs but they use a lot of the same hardware. And it will take longer than an hour unless you get lucky and your cone washers pop right off. Scraping off the old gaskets will take time as well. If you have the time to pick up the new parts before you start, it will probably be worth it. The previous owner of my truck mangled some of the cone washers so I had to use some of the ones that came with my hubs and I'm glad they were included on that Ebay deal.

Took less than an hour for me (literally would take 10 minutes per side if I didn't have to jack each side and take off the wheel.) There was a thread just recently with pics, and good info about how to get cone washers off easily.

Read this on painting the hubs it can be a litte tricky. Altho mine have lasted the winter with no problems they did get messed up when i got my tires changed the other day. I think its time to invest in a powder coating setup.
