Air intake Mod's!
#21
I have a few pics
I did an intake mod a few months ago and I love it. I do have a few words of caution though. When I did the first mod, I used regular bent up muffler pipe with elbows and nuts, put it on cranked all the nuts, attached all the hoses, worked fine, long story short, one of the nuts came and got stuck in the throttle body. So I put it all back to stock, went and found some mandrel bent aluminum tubing, welded on the tube for the breather hoses and I was good to go again. I'll attach a pic, check it out.

new mass airflow bracket
I used an existing hole in the fenderwell and made up the bracket accordingly
the tubing is off a 1996 Gillig bus, as is the 3 inch rubber turbo hose, I welded in the larger vacuum port which was a pipe I got from Home Depot for like $1.50

What I did was actually thread the brass fitting into the tube with a little teflon tape and a rubber o-ring. I was afraid of the whole nut into my throttle body thing.
I was at my local Kragen the other day and saw some aftermarket boots/clamps that might work with the tubing I have. I will check when I have a chance.
