air intake
has anyone ever tried any of the downey air cleaner set ups im thinking about getting one but wanted to see what u guys thaught about them first. im looking at the one for the 85-87 efi. tell me what u guys think and if its worth it or not.

its alot cheaper to make ur own intake tube i had mine done at a muffler shop for 20bucks u can get one of those cheap ebay cone filter kits for like 20bucks that will work good along with the isr mod wich is almost free

i know it would be alot cheaper to make my own but i have no idea how and have know idea where to start also i dont think anyone has tried making one for an 84 22rec. if u know someone that has then let me know so i can ask them how they made it and what they made it out of. thanks for the advice.

California emissions what the c stands for just means its got more crap on it to make it better for the air

so has anyone built there own for the 22re years 85-87 and if so do u have the plans or can u email how u made it i would really appreciate it

really dont NEED a new tube. If you want one for looks then for $150 Downey's looks pretty cool.
IF you want some gain, find an 82 Supra AFM, get a rubber 2 inch (I think the stock air tubes are 2 inch) to 3 inch adaptor from Home Depot, and get a 3 inch Ebay filter. bing bang boom you have an intake that actually does something all for way less $ then the bling downey.

its really easy to do i went to my exhaust guy had him bend me one he used the old one for a pattern he had to neck down it a few to 2-1/2 one the thorttle body side on the filter side its 3inchs
