That's strange...
Well, here's the breakdown.
I, along with some other people here, have the $30 mini air compressor driven trumpets. They're higher pitched and airy.
Midiwall has a set of bigger cojones 18-wheeler semi type trumpets that he got all the parts from Ebay (I think)
Someone else here got some parts from a train, installed, and then took them out - or was that you Mark?
Some people buy the expensive Hella freeway blasters that Corey has a write up for in the Tech section.
And yet others recently discovered that Harbor Freight tools has some freeway blaster horns made by ??? that go for cheap (less than 12 for a set of 2).
EDIT:
Sorry if I got any of the above wrong. I typed all this from memory.
There you have it.
If you haven't found anything on a search - I'd suggest that you try it again and take a look at how far you're searching. Skyrat (George) brought up the Harbor Freight freeway blasters not 2 months ago.
Happy hunting

3.4v6; I have my solution up here:
http://www.midiwall.com/4Runner/airhorns.html
And for the record, he's right guys, search is hosed. I think I know why and will let Corey and folks know.

One thing Peter...
I don't have the Hella electric horns, those are expensive.
I can't remember the name of them, and of course can't search here, as the database is being rebuilt as I type this, and search is down.
The Freeway Blasters I and others run are from NAPA, and are made by Fiamm I believe.
Also very cheap at around $12 each I think.

So Toyota does this on purpose then?
That's curious

Strange, anyone else out there do this same thing?
I'd be interested to see if there's a downside to this clipping and why Toyota would do such a thing.
Great find, by the way!
Too bad for the guys who invested the $10 or so for the freeway blasters.
