Air/Fuel sensor
My check engine light came on Monday after a camp out this past weekend. I took it to Autozone after work and the scanner read P1135. I couldn't believe what I was hearing, but the guy told me that I need to change my oil! I know this means that my Air/Fuel sensor needs to be replaced after searching this forum. My question is: Can I wait til Monday to replace the part and will my catalytic converter get clogged up? I really can't order the part til Friday from Toyotapartsexpress. Thanks for the info!

well, when the a/f isn't working the crap can build up on the o2 and (yes crap goes through the cat, doesn't get burned) shortens the life...that's alll I meant
plus the denso quality control is pretty good. when the element on the a/f goes (from old age, molecular loss) the o2 is also about ready to die. just sayin...if you can afford the pair may as well do them
but yes, rear may last another 40,000 miles who knows ? usually they go about 2 months between 1st death and 2nd death

Bad effects? Crappy gas mileage.
Be careful pulling that sensor out ... I've priced many a manifold/exhaust pipe for impatient technicians who've ripped the threads out. PB Blaster the hell out of it a few times the day before you go to replace it, or a "hot wrench" can work wonders.
