Question Air Flow Sensor?

Since my pickup has an air flow sensor that monitors the amount of air coming in, and tells the ECU how much, which then determines how much fuel to inject... what would happen if the air flow meter was disconnected?

You would get a check engine light because you would be either running lean or rich... wheich wouldn't be a good idea. The AFM is there for a reason so IMHO just leave it, it serves a purpose.
